Felixstowe Half-Marathon, 4 October 2009
We were extremely lucky with the weather this year and managed a record
number of entrants and finishers. The Fun Run fielded 66 runners and the
main race had 467 finishers. A huge number of supporters were on the
promenade shouting for friends, family and colleagues.
Michael Collins from Medite Shipping Company, sponsors of the Felixstowe Half
Marathon, started the wheelchair and main races. The Fun Run was started by
sponsor Richard Bugg.
Thanks to Medite Shipping Company and Richard Bugg for sponsoring the races, and
to the huge number of Felixstowe Road Runners who helped with all aspects of the
race, including marshalling, fun run, goody bags, water stations and setting up
of the course.
