Half Marathon

Another very successful Half Marathon. Enormous thanks are due to Race Directors Elaine Brinkley and Anne Oliver - a lot of hard work goes into such a well-organised event. Thanks also to all who helped with race organisation or as marshals in less than ideal conditions.

Round Norfolk Relay

Congratulations to the runners in the two Felixstowe teams who completed the gruelling 193 mile multi-terrain Round Norfolk Relay event on September 20/21, and particular thanks to Tim Finegan who had the difficult task of organising the teams. Also well done to Lucy Rudduck and Helen Finegan who were first-placed in their age category for their legs of the relay. Full results are available at Round Norfolk Relay

Good news for the older runner

According to Stanford University research, reported by the BBC, regular running can significantly slow the effects of aging - see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7554293.stm
