Quarterly magazine for all members

The club has a thriving junior section that meets throughout the year.

Each year the club also takes a trip out to the London Marathon for both runners and supporters.

We meet weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Brackenbury Sports Centre, High Road East, Old Felixstowe.

Tuesdays (meeting at 6.45) are suitable for all abilities, fast or slow, generally starting with a mile warm-up followed by a speed, hill or 'fun' session. Following a cool down run back to the club the night is finished with a stretching session. Anyone coming along should be able to cover a minimum of a couple of miles but speed is not important.

On Wednesdays we meet at 7.15 for a 7.30 start, and this is usually a general club run of between 5 and 10 miles with the speed being dictated by the members that turn up on the evening. This session is suitable for more experienced runners.

The club currently has two UK Athletics Level 2 Endurance Coaches and three FiRW (UK Athletics Fitness in Running and Walking) Session Leaders. The coaching team provides support and assistance to any club member, be it general running advice or a training programme for any race up to and including the marathon.

For those new to running you should ensure you are in good health and consult your GP if necessary. Always make sure you wear suitable running shoes.

A Club membership form is available here (pdf format).
